1Watermark, Inc. (“1Watermark,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates 1watermark.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.
Notice at Collection (California) — We collect the categories of personal information identified in Section 2 for the purposes described there and below. We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the disclosed purposes (see Section 9), and we disclose whether we “sell” or “share” personal information and how to opt out (see Section 6 and Section 7).
1) Information We Collect
You provide: name, email, phone, company, billing and transaction details (processed by our payment provider), support messages, and any other information you choose to submit.
Collected automatically: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, timestamps, and approximate location from IP; cookies and similar technologies; and event data for analytics/diagnostics.
2) Categories of Personal Information (CCPA/CPRA)
In the past 12 months, we may have collected the following categories for the purposes listed (examples; see retention in Section 9):

We do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, precise geolocation, or health/biometric data via the Site.
3) How We Use Information

- Communicate about updates, features, and offers (opt‑out anytime)
- Analyze usage, performance, and trends
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, security incidents, and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
4) Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, and local storage for core functionality, analytics, and (where enabled) marketing/retargeting. You can manage cookies in your browser; disabling may limit features. See Your Privacy Choices below for opt‑out options regarding targeted advertising and analytics preferences.
5) How We Disclose Information
We do not sell personal information for money. We disclose information to:
- Service providers/processors (e.g., hosting, analytics, payment processing, customer support) under contracts that restrict use to our instructions;
- Legal/Compliance: to comply with laws, enforce agreements, or protect rights/safety;
- Corporate transactions: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer (subject to confidentiality).
- We do not sell or share personal information as defined by California law.
- We may “share” limited identifiers and internet activity with advertising/analytics partners for cross‑context behavioral advertising as defined by California law; you can opt out (see Section 7).
6) Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, opt‑out of sale/sharing (targeted ads), limit use/disclosure of sensitive personal information, and be free from discrimination for exercising rights. California residents’ rights are detailed in Section 7.

- If available, use the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the Site footer. We may need to verify your identity and (for authorized agents) your authority to act on another’s behalf.
7) California Privacy Notice (CCPA/CPRA)
This section applies to California residents and supplements this Policy.
Rights. You have the right to: know/access; delete; correct; opt‑out of the sale of personal information and the sharing of personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising; limit the use/disclosure of sensitive personal information; and be free from non‑discrimination.
Notice at Collection & Categories. We provide this Policy as our notice at collection and identify categories/purposes in Section 2 and Section 3. We disclose whether data is sold/shared and how to opt out.
Opt‑out of Sale/Sharing.
- Use Your Privacy Choices / Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (footer link) to submit a request. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a valid request to opt‑out of sale/sharing for the browser or device that sends the signal (frictionless processing).
- Limit Use of Sensitive PI. If we use sensitive personal information beyond limited permitted purposes, you may direct us to restrict such use/disclosure using the Your Privacy Choices link.
How to Submit Requests.
Use our webform, email hello@1watermark.com, or write to the address in Section 11. We will verify and respond within statutory timeframes.
Authorized Agents.
Agents may submit requests with proof of authorization and, if required, user verification.
Children & Teens.
We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of users under 16. If we learn we collected such information, we will delete it. For minors under 16, sale/sharing requires opt‑in consent.
Financial Incentives.
We do not offer programs that provide financial incentives or price/service differences for personal information. If we do in the future, we will provide a Notice of Financial Incentive before enrollment.
Metrics & Accessibility.
If we ever meet thresholds requiring annual request metrics reporting, we will publish them. We strive to make this notice reasonably accessible to consumers with disabilities.
8) Do‑Not‑Track (CalOPPA)
Some browsers offer “Do‑Not‑Track” (DNT). California law requires us to disclose how we respond to DNT signals. Because there is no industry‑standard definition of DNT, we do not respond to DNT signals. We do, however, recognize and honor the GPC signal as described above.
9) Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes disclosed, to comply with laws, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Typical periods:

10) Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11) International Users
If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be processed in the U.S., where laws may differ from those in your country.
12) “Shine the Light” (California Civ. Code §1798.83)
California residents may request information about our disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing in the prior 12 months. Send requests to hello@1watermark.com with “Shine the Light” in the subject line.
13) Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
14) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be posted here with an updated “Last Updated” date.
